I’ve been leading women’s Bible Study groups for many years, and this is one of the best women’s Bible Studies that I’ve seen in a while. Ms. Cooper has refreshing insight into women’s issues, and her application of Biblical truths in resolving those issues is spot-on. Women of any age will find this study rewarding, uplifting and reassuring. I was privileged to be part of a group that used an early version of the study and all of us loved it. I’m so excited to see the final version in print. The workbook format, along with her knowledgeable commentary, poses questions that lead women to dig deep and search the scripture for their own answers. I highly recommend this study.

This is a wonderful women’s bible study that challenges you to really look into scripture to find truth. In each chapter, the author invites you to open your bible and look at the various topics and issues for yourself. In addition, she asks insightful and penetrating questions that help apply the scripture you study to your personal life and to see how you are living out God’s truth in light of every topic covered.
I absolutely love the wide variety of topics, including the character of God, seeing God as Father, delving into the word of God, looking at where your identity lies, marriage, singleness, beauty, exercise, living sacrificially, struggles and weaknesses, how you choose to interact with others, and more. These are topics and issues that many different women at various points in life struggle with and it is refreshing to read a study that is willing to really delve into them. Within each topic, the questions asked are not at all superficial. Rather, they really force you to look at your heart and examine it on a more profound level.
In addition to the topics, though, I love that this study really forces you to look at the bible for yourself. It is definitely not a fill-in-the- blank kind of study. Instead, it seems like the author is trying to really teach to you to go to the bible for yourself. She leads you through this by giving examples of things to look up, which is great for someone who is not yet comfortable looking at these topics for themselves. On the other had, she also encourages you to learn to get comfortable with studying scripture for yourself and I love that. In a world where more and more studies are becoming increasingly shallow, this book really delves deep, bringing out the reader to examine God’s word and to learn more about the bible and God’s call for their lives.

Naked Before Jesus has an amazing way to courageously tackle challenges to which women are particularly vulnerable. Cooper uses a unique and effective way to help women grow spiritually by incoporating both topical study and scriptural study whithin the same book. She has knack for being able to speak to female audiences of all backgrounds and ages yet still speaking clear truth into their lives about the true nature of God and His will in their lives. This one is a must read for all women seeking to overcome some of the weaknesses in their faith and grow in their relationship with God!
